HOW IT WORKED

To promote Tofino as an international travel destination, SoLook Media and Treehouse Media integrated an SMS campaign designed to leverage Tourism Tofino’s traditional media mix of newspaper and TV commercials. By engaging viewers with a text message “call to action”, for example “Text TOFINO to 889988”, participants then received an instant text message back encouraging them to go online to complete their entry form or for more information and special offers.

The newspaper advertisements and TV commercial ran in four primary markets – Vancouver Island, Vancouver, Calgary and Seattle.
